contruction

i am redoing my whole kitchen and my bathrooms and well the construction person i am using plans on using $8-$10 square feet granite. i am not in construction so i have no idea but does this sound like cheapo granite to you? also take in consideration this is wholesale price not consumer price.

i am doing my whole kitchen with resuface my cabinets and redoing a stain and 2 bathrooms and 1 master bathroom. Everything is gutted and replaced. from the light fixtures to towel racks, and the floor with granite. he is quoting me $50k.

any input?

this is exactly why you should get more than one...even more than 2 estimates to know what things are going for.

no backing out now man. for 4 rooms, it sounds reasonable to me. and cheapo stuff is like $3/sq. ft. if im not mistaken, so paying more than double that sounds like good stuff to me.

but you're asking the wrong people, shoulda got more estimates. my opinions can be 100% wrong too.

Solid granite or tiles
2 cm or 3 cm
custom edges or standard bullnose or flat
Type of sealer applied

All the major questions I can think of
