Is their an update that will allow the Nav to display traffic information in the towns that it did not previously show the traffic info before. I was in a new Kia with nav and it shows the traffic info for Hartford but in my RL it only tells me about incidence like an accident or contruction. The Kia shows congestions, accidents and contructions.

 

Per the XM website, Traffic Flow information is not yet available in the Hartford Market. Only Incident information is available in that market.

I do know when I upgraded my DVD from the 4.3 copy my RL came with, there were some updates to the NavTraffic icons, flow displays and addition of one way streets.

You should check your NAVI DVD version and compare with the latest version available (newest should release in the next few weeks) to see if there was enhancements to NavTraffic from the version you currently run.
