Considering the Nest Secure system

I've been looking at setting up either the Ring Alarm or Nest Secure in my home. I have three entry doors (front door, garage door, sliding glass door in back) and ten windows. I really like the reviews of the Nest Hello, and I like their cameras as well, so I'm leaning towards the Nest. BUT, I really don't like their motion sensing/entry combo sensors. A good portion of the back wall of my home is for the dining room and living room (open floorplan). On that wall there is a sliding glass door and then three windows - all in the space of about 30ft. It seems pretty silly to use their combo sensors on all four points of entry when I will end up disabling motion sensing on 2 or 3 of them - and then factor in the cost of the sensors ($49/ea).

For those of you with the Nest system and a wall of windows, how did you handle sensor placement? Are there any third party motion/entry sensors that work with the Nest Secure?

I'm also looking at the Abode, but I haven't done much research on it.

Look into Simplisafe, they have separate motion sensors.

I have - I like the form factor of their updated system, but I don't like that I have to subscribe to their monitoring service to get alerts on my phone.

Nest works on it's own proprietary system so no, there aren't other third party things that will work.

I'm going to with Abode since it "works with Nest" on the aspect of the thermostat and the doorbell. It also works with some third party devices like door locks and other Z-Wave devices. If there's anything else you need to do, you can always use IFTTT to link services.

I've been eyeing Abode as well. I need to take a deeper dive into it this evening after work to see if this is what I'm looking for, but so far, it's promising.

Want to follow up on this, I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these soon. Did you (or anyone else) end up with a system and can comment on experience?

I ended up with the Ring system due to cost (mainly). It's $100 year for central monitoring plus all cameras I have at this address. Super easy to install and works well so far.
