You know, I took the bottle of lotion off her nightstand but missed the "Comforter Spray," supposed to smell like violet or something. It's like a glade plug in dutch oven'ed me, every time I get into bed.
Projector is open on the sides and back so I think it should be ok, no? I've seen them on shelves and such but should I mount a fan into the bottom of the shelf (hot air exits the one side but this would help, I think)

oh side exit.. yeah should be fine.
If it has a filter, I'd just make sure to clear / clean it periodically and blow out the vents.

Thinking of running to Ikea tomorrow and grabbing two of these, one on each side of the washer and dryer, with a drying rod in between. I want to tile the wall behind the W&D but I need to find a counter first, wife wants concrete but I don't know.
And one of these pulls outs between the units for a make shift hamper:

wtf
That's a sweet looking fan.
I think one of those shallow mounts would been nice too, with the short blades.
Still have roomies contact info? Asking.. for a friend.

I've since added two doors and two pull-out cubes. The possibilities for customization are huge.

HUUUUGGE.
Looks great, thanks! I went to plan out the laundry today and go buy cabinets but realized, I need to block out the metal studs with some wood i.e. I need to cut the walls open. I need to cut them for the cabinets and the counter because I don't think the metal is going to be sufficient on it's on. Decided that I'm going to do white cabinets with a natural polished concrete counter and some sort of glass blackspash.
Shit never ends

Nice work. A home theater is eventually in my future. Need to get all the boxes/toys out of the media room first

It's on our to do list. Probably get done after we upgrade the living room TV, from the 42" 7 year old Samsung LED. Hopefully to something in the 60" 4K range.
The media room is going to take a full do. Currently has nothing in it, don't think the prior owners ever used it.

You have a legit looking theater, is it wired for surround? How's the new place doing? Get your internet figured out?

Our laundry room is a mess, soap, shout, and a bunch of random bottles of stuff, not sure how you could deal without shelves but then again, I'm a clean freak. I've also found that since marriage, I need to keep myself busy and since I don't spend half of my life out partying anymore, I've got a lot of free time
That being said, not excited about cutting open the wall to add blocking, especially after cutting five holes for the speakers recently, what a mess.

Laundry is in the garage which is a mess since I have no fence and have to stash everything in there. Laundry location has saved our ass numerous times with the old washer dancing and spilling water everywhere. If you lugnuts ever come down to Kendall for an AZ BBQ, we can take turns on the old washer with a bat a la Office Space.

Do you have an oscillating tool?
That does create dust but it's a smaller amount and doesn't throw it around the room as much.
Also, makes the cuts very thin and precise so if you make your opening to brace it wide enough to hit 2 sets of studs you could just reuse your squars/rectangles to repair the wall after.

Grabbed a "Sideclick" to clean up my remotes and since my wife likes the Alexa remote, figured this was a great solution. In theory, it sounds like a great idea, each button is programmed to wherever function you need it to do by aiming it at the main remote for programming. While I would prefer one button to drop the screen, turn the receiver on, and the projector, I know my wife doesn't love our Harmony and I would need to buy the RF one. This SC worked great, one button to turn the receiver on (auto turns off), one to turn the projector on, volume up, volume down, and mute; perfect but for only 30 minutes or so. Not sure why it would just stop working but I'll try it again a few times and then back to Amazon it goes, seemed so cool too.
Edit - dog was laying on it, sorry for the fur

I don't but love to buy new things. I used a drywall saw and it worked pretty well for the ceiling, where I had to use the drywall as a plug and seal it back up but there is a good sized seam I had to tape. For that reason, I was thinking of using a utility knife because while time consuming to keep scoring it, there is a small seam so maybe I need to go to Lowes today...
Then again, I'm going cabinets over the seams and then tile the rest so as long as it's flat, I won't see the seam again, hmmm.

We got a Ubiquiti access point & a little PoE switch, and we're in business. Put the AP in the living room, which is pretty central in the house, so we now have strong WiFi across the whole house & even out at the pool.

Between clearing old grout, cutting drywall and cutting things in awkward places like door tip for laminate flooring...the oscillating tool has been invaluable, man. Just one of those tools that makes the job easier...although if you're covering over, fuck it...you won't even really need to tape much.

Also, if you're covering with a cabinet, who cares about the drywall?

Laundry Room Updates
Figured I would spruce up the laundry room, which was simply the washer and dryer. I grabbed two cabinets for the top, a pull out for a hamper below and got to work. I initially wanted to pour a cement counter but once I realized how long the trim and everything was taking here, I just bought a super large piece and cut it down to size. I didn't want to block off the water cut offs so I cut a piece out of the counter to gain access. You can see in the pics that it's removed, with it placed backed in, you can barely tell it's there. Still need a bit of touch up and to paint the ceiling and walls.
Wanted to do a herringbone pattern but fucked it up
Debating on staying here but if we do, I'm going to box this ugly ass airhandler in with matching cabinet cover boards. I'm planning a vented front door that completely opens to service it with some attached shelving below.

Yeah, I'd completely box it in. Storage cabinet on the bottom, vented service cabinet up top.

Is that an IKEA tabletop? looks good.

I'd put a custom piece over the back of the tabletop, to cover it for when you don't need access.
on effed up herringbone design.. looks good though.

Thanks guys and yes, pretty much everything is Ikea because it looked good and was reasonable. That being said, all said and done, I spent way more than I wanted to, probably $900 or so. The counter does have a cut out and I plan to put the piece back in to cover it but I need to trim it down a bit more because the first two cuts destroyed my circular saw. Last day of a meeting so I'll knock it out this weekend and thanks for the positive feedback!

And....The house is sold.
The HOA finally tortured us enough for us to sell, wife has cried and cried. We bought a new, bigger house but no pool and it needs some work.
