Nice work, never seen a pool heater like that. Looks like an AC unit. Electric heat?

Thanks and yes, it’s electric. It seems the majority of my friends have a similar heater, many have the same brand and maybe because it will cool the water as well, maybe? The couple that owned this before got the same unit, well 5 years newer but looks the same.

Gotcha, all I've seen around here are NG heat.
A Cooler would be nice. Our pool is currently sitting at 92* and that's with partial shade most of the day.

We’re around 91 and it’s perfect, guess we’re weird 😬

It's nice, but mid to high 80s feels perfect here. Cool to get in, but great once you're in.

No crazy updates, just finishing minor things and fixing shit that breaks.

Speaking of breaking, we had a new AC put in when we moved and apparently something ate the insulation on the drain line, causing it to drip though the ceiling so I’m currently fixing that. Rockstar guessed what the issue was as soon as I saw the drip so thanks Jeremy. What’s weird is that I knew it was chewed on moving in but I couldn’t fix it without cutting into the ceiling so I left it for years.

We‘ve had numerous topiaries in front of our garage that all died so we went fake and not bad.

Added AC to the garage via a mini split and insulated door

Refinished the lights I put in when we moved

and I don’t think I ever posted a finished stair case so here it is

Currently working on fixing up this slab on the side of the house; the center sunk in so I filled it and just tiled it yesterday.

Ceiling is all patched up and repainted along with the walls.

Leveled the side pad and tiled it. The width was a bit uneven but due to the flower bed and AC unit, I just went with it. Things were going smoothly until I went to grout, no rain in the forecast but half way through, it poured. Black grout covered everything and I have yet to finish, due to rain.

The storage under the stairs connects to the attic so it was always hot and smelled like an attic. I was dreading drywall so I just used sheeting and it worked really well.

Also rented a lift to trim trees, super fun

The Porsche looks sooooo good and unique. I hope you never sell it because it'll be impossible

It looks so useful, especially compared to the S5 (do you even still have that thing??)

Not gonna lie, I've been looking at cheap Cayennes because of you and Tyler.

Unfortunately I have been ordered, under penalty of death, to not buy another car.

House looks awesome though, great progress! Drywall sucks, definitely pay someone for that.

GT350 surely makes up for the lack of Cayenne.
You'd probably get a pass for a full overland Cayenne if you sold the Shelby

Not going to do that. I need me some manual in my life.

Besides, if I was going to go overlanding anything, it would have solid front/rear axles and a Jeep badge.

Fine, fine, Cayenne is sold ya jerks. I listed it for over double what I paid and even with the flight, hotel, sales tax, mods, etc I came out a few thousand ahead so I sold it. I didn't want to but I never drove it and listed it before I took it off road, where I had a blast. I almost pulled the listing to keep it but someone said they would pay full price, I literally ignored the offer and he kept pushing.

True, older Cayennes can be had for pretty reasonable $
But if it's not worth the effort for the distance to get it off pavement, a different style of toy works.

That was the same reason I was ready to part ways with my S4.
Didn't work out but you know what I mean...full offer, see ya.

Damn, sorry to see it go. That was one sweet ride.

I personally would have kept it and moved the S4 lol.

Crazy that the Porsche was actually costing more per year in insurance, then the S5 or our 22 Q7; makes zero sense. Again, I really wish I could have kept it but it is what it is.

I'm terrible at quoting specific parts of a post - when you put up the sheeting - did it help with the heat or the smell? I've got a somewhat similar situation and really don't want to drywall the room/surrounding area. But it gets hot. I hadn't previously considered plastic sheets - I did buy some cheap 4x8 Styrofoam panels from the hardware store but those don't really stay mounted.

It helped with both, I’d say 10 plus degrees cooler than it was and no drafts. I really wanted the finished look of drywall but with the curved wall and the cramped space, not dying to do it.
