Closed Today, Moving Some Things In Tomorrow
Well, the deal is finally done as of tonight. My man closed on the house. We are so relieved all is said and done now. It's been a very long road, including a few bumps with Wells Fargo.
I ran around like crazy tonight, trying to get all the essentials sorted out and packed up in the car. Just moving kitchenware, cleaning supplies, and bedding up to the house tomorrow. I have a long weekend of cleaning ahead of me. My bf is working all weekend, so I'm on my own for the cleaning, but he'll join me for pizza on the floor tomorrow night.
Here she is:

It's 10 years old, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths on 1.8 acres. Backs up to a farm.

Congrats! That looks like a great place, plenty of room to spread out in. I remember reading your previous thread and the issues you were having. Glad you were able to find something that worked out for you (and in my opinion, appears better than some of those other houses you described).

Thanks, guys! It was a hectic weekend full of packing/unpacking/cleaning etc. My back is killing me! And there is sooooo much more to do.
At least traffic was light on the way up and not too bad on the way back, either. It's about 1 hour and 20 minutes each way with no traffic problems.
The neighbors thought the house got robbed because my bf's coworkers wanted to see the house, so there were 4 troop cars parked in the driveway early Saturday morning before I got there. Haha.

About that....we still need to purchase a lawn mower.
The previous owners did leave a bunch of garden tools, though, so that'll help a little bit.
Yes, feeling the backache big time. I think I'm going to pop a Celebrex soon. Sleeping on an air mattress last night probably didn't help, either.
Probably this summer after we get things in order. BBQ!!

Thanks! Heating is oil. We also have a propane tank for the dryer.
Yeah, we definitely were not pleased with Wells Fargo. I'm not sure it would be much different with another bank, but we will probably not use them again.
Yes, it was a long time! It will be great after we're moved in and comfortable. We still have to buy family room furniture, so it'll be a while yet, but we'll get there eventually.
We need a shed, too. The other people only had one car, so they kept the lawnmower, snow blower, etc. in the extra space in the garage.
Really nice rear view on the house. I love the walk-out basement. Interior will warm right up with a modern paint pallette. Add some stone textures, and either SS or black appliances and Bob's your uncle. That'll keep you busy for years.
Don't forget to ditch the bright brass stuff too. I don't want to be the only one who spent a small fortune switching everything over to oil-rubbed bronze.

Thanks. Orange County, NY. My other half is required to have a NY address.
Definitely. I was hoping the previous owners would leave the one they had, but it's gone. Probably sold it. They did leave a wheelbarrow, spreader, and some other random tools, though.
