breakfast bar
breakfast bar
Is it possible to have a breakfast bar on a countertop that also has a sink? I've seen it before and the extended bar part is raised, but is this the only way to do it? Or can you just extend that countertop and just have space around the sink.
You can do whatever you want, ultimately - it's your kitchen. Most folks kick up the counter for a breakfast bar so that there is a "splash edge" for the counter, and stuff on the counter does not intrude on the dining space. In addition, you might have to look at lower bar stools (or adjustable ones) if you have a lower than conventional bar height.
However, if you want an uncluttered look, go for it.
