Best Way to Cover These Windows...

I recently bought a house and have been working on installing window coverings. I've got all but a few windows in the master bedroom.

Here are my two delimmas:

Door in master to back yard.

Windows above master closets.

I was thinking of tinting or having solar screens installed on the windows above the closets, but I have no idea where to start with the door to the back yard.

How would you cover these windows?

Why cover them? Natural light ftw.

For the Backyard door, buy yourself a double rod curtain kit, get some valances and the main curtains. You can order longer valances so it fits perfectly with the upper window, and you can just part them whenever you want to use the doors.

Although the light is great (I love natural light)...

1) I'd like to be able to sleep past sunrise from time to time. I've been waking up between 5:45 and 6:45 just about every morning and can't fall back asleep because of the light. It's nice, but I'd like to make it an option.

2) The bedroom gets direct sun light in the afternoon and gets pretty warm. I'd like to be able to keep the room dark-ish to try to keep my cooling costs down, especially on very hot days.
