My wife and I are planning to get the free estimate and plans from them and then do it ourselves. If you are even the least bit handy you can tackle this.

And to answer the original question, we haven't done it yet, however, several of our neighbors have and they loved the experience. You will pay top dollar for their service, but from what I've been told, it's well worth it. I, however, am a frugal bastard and will be going the route of NSXNEXT when the time comes

I have used EasyClosets.com - design my own on the web site and order. Put the first one in a couple of weeks ago, the second is going in this weekend. I will probably do three more closets before I am done. Youj can also have them design if you send them a diagram of your closet.
The materials are very similar - EasyClosets drawers are white laminated instead of wood laminated (inside), but it's all laminated melamine anyway. With EasyClosets I don't need to have anyone come in, and I'd rather do my own installation anyway. The accessories from EasyClosets (tie racks, valet poles, etc.) seem to be higher quality than what I saw on display at Costco from California Closets.
I have before/after pics but they aren't showcase quality - my daughter filled her closet up with garbage almost instantaneously when I had the closet installed. This closet was around $1500 - it has full extension drawer slides, rounded corners on the vertical pieces, bright brass hardware, and cherry laminate as cost adders. We were able to get rid of the dresser visible on the left of the first picture, and will be able to add a desk and bookcase to her room instead.
