The guy I have used to paint my house for the last 30 years can no longer be found. Anyone have luck with Angie's list?

 

Not for painting, but Angie's List was good for an electrician and for an A/C outfit for a package unit replacement.

G/L finding a painter. We need one too, after roof replacement.

 

Used there service once to find someone to fix a washer. No problems. I would trust them over say Craigslist.

 

Love Angies list, you can definitely find a painter on there as the number of providers on there is much more now than before. The cost of membership can be recovered pretty fast when you use the discounts vendors give to AL members. It more than pays for itself if you're doing even a somewhat minor job.

 

I used Angie's List to find a hard wood floor refinisher. They did a good job.

 

I actually used Angie's List to find the GC to do a large renovation and he was pretty decent! I wouldn't hesitate to use the service again.
