It's also a diuretic, can cause palapatations and other nervous system problems. But it does boost your metabolism, until your body becomes tolerant.

"what's the coorelation between caffeine and loosing weight being bad?"

There isn't one. (At least not one that I've ever heard of in bodybuilding OR pharmacy school.) In fact, a lot of bodybuilders use a stack of ephedrine, aspirin, and caffeine when they're cutting for a competition.

Where did you hear that?

I read it on the Internet that means it must be true!

No really I had the assumption that caffeine wasn't good for you for any purposes.

BTW which one are you the brunette or the blonde?

I don't know where people get these weird ideas about caffeine "stunting your growth" and "hardening your arteries"...in moderation, caffeine doesn't really have any *major* side effects.

I'm the blonde (why does everybody ask that??) Maybe I need to change my picture to one of just me..

<---------drinks a lot of tea.... I mean A LOT OF TEA (black, dark brew, strong, NOT the "paradise" fufu crap) but I've been drinking tea since I was a kid... I guess it could be worst... I could be hooked on soda or something It's never been a problem for me, but the only thing is... I'll usually reach for a tall glass of tea before water, therefore, I end up NOT drinking enough water But when I get more serious about dieting... I start drinking more water, and less tea... but still a lot of tea... I try having a gallon of water everywhere I go... I'll easily drink close to a gallon of water durning a workout.

Who drinks caffeine in moderation though? Everyone i know either drinks tea, sodas, or coffee every day. I, myself am a coffee drinker. Lately I have been trying to do half decaf and half regular though.

So this new black and white picture is you for sure

Anyways, for me caffeine makes some people shake and start to tremble, which my friend has done when he drank 2 cups of double shot expresso.

Actually for high intensity exercise, caffeine is good for you. Take it before you go to the gym.
