What suppliments should i take? Right now i currently drink protein shakes, take flaxseed oil pills, and one a day multi-vitamin. If it helps i am trying to trim away excess fat and get cut.

Well, here's hoping you're also eating right. Because, no amount of supplements can replace good whole foods.

Supplements are going to do less than 1% of the work for you.

Maybe add some fish oil. Get your diet squared away before taking anything else.

20-30 min of what? There's a big difference among running, walking, swimming, etc.

I dont think supplements even do that much for you but where they shine is recovering.

Shit like celltech shows amazing results, at least with me.

Your main supplements should be good, whole foods. Get that taken care of first and foremost. As others said, supps are going to constitute a very small % of the gains you make.

The only supps I take are a multi-vitamin, B12 complex, ZMA, flax seed oil, glutamine, and glucosamine.

Well, depends on what foods you eat and what you think you need. If you eat lots of fish, then you probably don't need any fish oil caps. If you eat tons of veggies, then you probably don't need too many vitamins. But overall, I use the KISS method - keep it simple stupid. A lot of the supps you see are probably not going to benefit people like you and me since we are likely not performing at the peak of our genetic capabilities. But vitamins and basic nutritional supps are going to be enough for the "average" person IMO.

I don't really have any sound advice for you, but I just take Vitamin World's Multi Vitamins for Men and Whey Protein. Obviously I work out 4-5 times a week too.

for instance im looking to bulk up and build mass, because its winter. I am taking:

L-Glutamine
L-Agrnine
Dymatize Energized Xpand
Cytogainer
Vitamin B6
A Daily Multivitamin

and so far its working pretty damn good

And as far as cutting and losing excess fat, im not worrying about that until the early spring so that i can gain as much lean mass as possible then cut the fat by the summer, its sort of a yearly routine.

I would consider a multivitamin and whey to be the basic stuff everyone should take. If you want to take anything more, fish and flax seed oil are a good idea.

I don't take whey personally - it's not as critical as fish or flax oil IMO since most folks don't eat enough foods with EFAs in them. But you are right about taking just the basic stuff. Most people don't need to get crazy about supp intake, it only gives the average person so much extra boost.
