Static Contraction.....does it work?

Anybody use this training method? It seems like a too good to be true situation here.

2.5 minute workouts for the results promised sounds way too good to be true... there'd be a whole lot less fatties out there if this actually worked.

sounds like he's just repackaging what's commonly called isometric holds. the type of methodology he's trying to "sell" does have a place in a full range of workout methodologies but it shouldn't be used as your sole means of working out.
