Question Mrs. May's Trio bar VS CLIF bar?

I'm debating between these two bars: Mrs. May's Trio Bars and the CLIF bar.

Background: I have a deskjob so workout about 5 days a week by running 5 miles each time and workout abs and pullups and sometimes do weights (but not heavy weights, lighter weights with more reps because I don't want to bulk up).
Basically I've already pretty much cut out lots of fast food and am eating healthier now to cut calories and work on getting "ripped". As far as my body, I'm happy with everything except still working on getting rid of the little lovehandles.

Before each workout I like to eat an energy bar or banana but honestly bananas seem to be giving me gas/cramps lol. So the energy bar is what I've been doing lately and so far has been great. What I've been eating are Mrs. May's Trio bars that so far I have only found at Costco.

I'm not sure many of you are famliar with these but they taste great and here are the specs on one Trio bar:

Ingredients:
Cashew, Almonds, Pistachios, Blueberries, Sesame Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Dates, Raisins, Rice Malt, Natural Flavors, Evaporated Cane Juice and Sea Salt.

Nutrition Facts:
Serving Size: 1 bar, 48 grams

OR

CLIF bar which I'm sure most have you have heard of, and these vary in calories by flavor but here is one random one:

Nutrition Facts:
Serving Size: 1 Bar
Amount per Serving

Est. Percent of Calories from:

So, based on the fact that I mainly need it for a snack and energy for running and doing the workout I stated above, without getting bulky... what would ya'll recommend?

FYI, I notice the CLIF bar has 3x less fat calories than the Trio bar but I heard the Trio bar's fat cals are healthy calories... does that make a difference?

Sorry for the long post

I'd eat the Trio bar. Yes the Trio bar's fat calories are healthy as they are from nuts and seeds. I guess it depends on schools of thought but the healthy fats from the seeds/nuts will provide energy and burn off during the workout.

The zone diet that alot of long distance athletes and crossfitters use, healthy fats are increased for increased energy needs.

Ummm, IMO neither of those are healthy for you especially if it is a "snack". Look at your fats, carbs, and sugars. Wayyy too high imo. Not to mention Clif Bar's are on health watch because of the recent salmonella scare. LOL

I eat "Pure Protein" bars. I have one about 2 hrs before my workout as a snack. Here's the nutritional facts if you care. They have them at Jewel by me for $0.99/bar.

Those Mrs May's bars aren't protein bars (as far as I can tell) and they are far from unhealthy.

^ I know they aren't protein bars. I am just looking for something with energy for my running/light workout.

And you say they are far from unhealthy. Do you mean that or did you mean to say 'far from healthy'?

hmmm, doesnt seem too healthy to me.

I dont know what you're reading or what you consider healthy, but this is not a good bar to choose if you were looking for energy/protein bar. Now if you're comparing it to a cheeseburger, then sure, this is much healthier.

Who said all fats are unhealthy?

Both of you are severely misinformed if you believe that bar is good for you but keep on eating them, I can care less. LOL
