Acurazine summer cut thread with pictures?
Just wondering if anyone would want to participate for extra motivation for summer. I was thinking weekly update pictures for those cutting. I look pretty sloppy right now so I should be able to show a fairly big difference by April but I don't want to be the only fat guy posting pics lol.

Maybe every two weeks for the more serious people. I usually take off a solid 3lbs a week so it's noticable in weekly photos, definately in 2 weeks. It should help to keep the motivation up and I have a good 20lbs to lose before summer.

I cut the calories severely, around 1,000 a day, nothing after 12PM. I don't do Atkins but it has an emphasis on low carbs (under 100 a day). I do a little cardio, a lot of weights. I'm consistant and force myself to do one cheat day a week to keep the metabolism up. No drugs or supplements other than protein and I drink coffee all day. You would be surprised at what you can do when you're completely strict on the diet.
I won the biggest loser at work because they pissed me off. I did 30lbs in 30 days but 6lbs was water weight and I didn't eat for 3 days prior to weigh in. They imposed a weight penalty at the beginning because the fat asses thought I was somehow "cheating" and that drove me to win at all costs. I did lose a good bit of muscle doing it that way.

I wish I could do that.... Then again I wish I lived in Scottsdale. Off topic but I lived in Mesa for a year and that area has to have the largest concentration of hot girls anywhere. I can't wait to go back and visit friends.

Anyone have a good site to read about cutting? I am 6'2 and 180 right now (lost about 30 lbs over the last year), but still have some BF I'd like to shed. I'm confused on when to bulk up v cutting. I'm just looking to get a more defined look and maybe a little larger. As of now i'm only taking a multi, fish oil, and green tea extract. I'm going to be picking up protien for snack/breakfast and then maybe a can of tuna for lunch with a salad for dinner. Just not sure I should be bulking or cutting and looking for a well written guide. Also giving creatine some thought. Should I be taking Glutamine? The suppliments thread mentioned it helps burn fat instead of muscle. Sorry if this is the wrong thread. Thanks

I'm leaving for Vegas or I would write more.....
Whatever diet you decide, consistancy is the key. I like to bulk during the winter and before the short sleeve shirts come out, cut for summer. It's much quicker to do it that way than to bulk/cut at the same time....but it is possible to do both. Whether bulking or cutting, hit the weights hard. The only thing that changes is your diet and amount of cardio.

In regards to protein you can take a gram of protein per pound of body weight a day.
Cut out the sugars (sodas, candies, sweets), drink only water and low/no fat milk and eat healthy. Creatine is fine for post work out and Glutamine pre-workout. I personally would add a teaspoon of monohydrate creatine to some type of NO product (I'd recommend SuperPump 250). Also take some Glucosamine daily to aide in aches from joints etc...
If you are trying to bulk up and aren't capable... I can not stress the importance of Squatting. It appears most Gym monkeys have embedded this idea that it is only necessary to bench press and curl in the power racks (God I hate people who do that) and completely neglect deadlifts and squats.

At 6'2 180 pounds you don't need to cut anymore weight. I was around that exact size a bit over 2 years ago and look much better now with an additional 25+ pounds.

Thank you for the reply. I think i'm going to steer clear or the NO products. I've read to many side affects that wouldn't make this desireable for me. The protien I am starting, and creatine soon after. I currently work out weights every other day and cardio (running/swimming) on days off. For some reason i still feel like i need to lose about 10 lbs, i still cannot see my abs yet. Thanks again for the reply.
