Home Gym
So due to the current situation, has anyone else set up or already have a home gym?
Doesn't have to be fancy, simple dumbbells or resistance bands counts.

I just had mine set up this week.
Rogue Ohio power bar was delivered this week.
Overpriced cheap shitty squat stands from Amazon was delivered this week.
Yesterday I went to a gym equipment store in San Jose to pick up some Intek weights. 2x pairs of 45lbs bumpers and a pair of 25lbs grip plates.
An old Adidas flat bench I bought 7 years ago off Amazon for $100. (luckily this can support up to 600lbs of weight)

I wish.
All I have are my wife's 2.5 lb weights, a resistance band (which actually works for some stuff), and an elliptical in the garage. Mostly though, I just go running outside. Tthankfully we aren't like some countries in Europe which even prevent going outside to exercise.

The floor space in my bedroom is my "gym". My equipment are a pair of runners, workout gloves (easier to grip the resistance band), and 2 of my wife's 10lb. dumbbells I found yesterday evening in the basement.
Workout is very basic but it'll have to do. Beats nothing.

I just have a set of resistance bands that goes over the door, I can surprisingly get a lot done with them. I work out an hour everyday 4 days on, 1 day off rotating through 2 different circuits.

For me the home bodyweight workouts I've been trying are killing me at the moment. The only workout equipment is a bar + two chairs (pull-ups and inverted rows), doing a ton of decline push-ups and pike push-ups. I got some heavy music equipment I can row (~60lb amp head) doing a lot of plyo for legs + cardio. If you do that every day (no rest days!) then it really gets you going I don't jog or anything like that. Solid state cardio has never been appealing to me.

My wife made me order a Bowflex adjustable dumbbell and bench. It's now next to our treadmill.
Now she wants an elliptical machine. I don't want to get one, so I'm telling her that our basement's low ceiling might be a problem.

lol ya it's been awhile! I've been off forums for awhile. Started my own health and fitness journey a few years ago, lost 130lbs, started working out and going to F45 5 days a week.

I just had the mirrors installed tonight. Before covid, we had purchased the universal used. We have a cheaper treadmill, rower, stationary, and power tower. There isn't much that we don't need now.

How do you like that trainer? My wife saw a Wahoo one at the bike shop and sort of balked at the price. You don't see them often on marketplace around here.

I really like mine. I bought the first gen one when I was still in a relatively small condo and wanted/needed something quiet. I have a slight humming noise that is apparently normal on the early versions but has supposedly been fixed on the newer ones. I'm happy with the Tacx and would buy again.

I haven't really lifted weights 'consistently' in ~15 years and noticed that I've lost a bunch of muscle mass from running so much. So now is the time to put on a little muscle and try to look more 'cut'.
I tried the Bowflex Selecttech dumbbells from a buddy and after liking them got a set of my own. Also got a $100 bench on Amazon and some $20 bands for stuff I can't do with the weights or for if/when I travel.
So far, so good.

Bought these clamps that goes onto doorframes to allow for chin-ups/pull-ups finally...been using them for a few days and so far, like them. I'm sure there'll be some minor creasing/scuffs on my paint/frame but I had to finally after going nearly 1.5 years without being able to do pull-ups since working out at home. Badly needed it.
