Creatine and Back Pain

The upper part of my back (in between my shoulders) starts to hurt everytime I take creatine...is this normal? It doesnt inhibit my workout but it is creeping me out a bit. I take 1 teaspoon a day 30 minutes before working out and I work out 6 to 7 days a week.

So you've never had this problem when working out and not taking creatine? Maybe it is acid reflux, I seem to get a lot of acid problems in general and I feel the pain in my back and my chest as well.

I want to take it for 3 months to build a nice little platform and it's been working great so far so I would hate to stop.

my trainer believes in cycling; six weeks on, four weeks off..... tends to co-opt the side effects. We maximize the benefit by using it at the beginning of a new exercise regimen when a new set of muscles are being focused on.....

Good advice. I stopped taking it completely after my kidney pain and havent taken it since. For me, I didnt see enough value in continuing to take it, especially since there have been no long term health effect studies.
