I was actually this close. Had my body shop picked out and everything, but since I have a 2012, I figured I better call and ask about whether the 4g would work on my car. Good thing I called last night before ordering. Ron ended up being ridiculously nice and super helpful, but long story short I'd need to revert back to 2011 bumpers to get this to fit properly on my 2012.

I ended up doing some digging and research today... The jury is still out. Might go stock, but dangit I want this kit.

So do you have the front 2012 conversion with bumper and grille?

Ron makes a nice looking kit but if I had a 2012 front bumper/grille, i would have it on, it makes the car look newer.

Exactly my issue. I feel like going to 2011 bumpers would be taking a step backward, despite the beautiful kit! I wonder if anyone else has considered doing this...

I'm 99% to pull the triger get it but I really want to see if the front lip fit on my 2012 TL as well.

Does anyone even have the kit? Ive been on this forum for a week or two and have not seen anyone rocking the kit. I think its too expensive, $470 just for only a front lip? Thats like a bit over half of an oem kit painted. It looks good, but the price...

The '09-'11 TL bumper is not a direct drop-in replacement for the 2012 TL, and vice versa; because of the differently shaped front grille.

In other words, the front grille on the 2012 has to be swapped out as well in order to retrofit the '09-'11 bumper.

How would a TL look with just the ron jon front lip, and no side skirts or rear bumper?

Correct.

Sorry - I should have mentioned in my initial post that my thought was to use the RJ grill in lieu of stock in addition to the kit.

Hey, just a shout out to Ron Jon, I saw a TL with his grill on it in Manitou Springs Colorado at the end of March, looked pretty good and I couldn't believe I saw a TL with it on in that part of the city.

A few lips have gone out, but no pics yet.

Sides and rear are finally done! and we are boxing everything up, ready to contact the customers once thats done and start scheduling the freight company to pick up and deliver.

Wheels are on their way to the customer, but here you can see the quality and style of the kit.

Bump, we are getting ready for a new limited production run with a new factory. Same employees, different management and location.

Here's an updated image:

for the amout you pay for a front lip and a grill.. you can do an entire 2012 front end conversion.. not worth it.. plus fitment is horrible.. ive seen it in person.

They've posted on their Facebook account within the last 30 days. They've also started branching out beyond Honda/Acura with more universal fitment wheels. Kind of hard to charge those kinds of prices when you can't use the "only aftermarket OEM fitment custom fit blah blah blah" argument though. There are far better products out there for less money typically. The only reason anybody was buying before was because they were "custom fit" for Honda/Acura.

You think? Although it's convenient to have them bolt on perfectly to your Honda/Acura I believe the fact that the fitments and styles were so mild it may have hurt him more than it helped. IMO the only people it really appealed to (wheel wise) were people looking for a cheaper replacement to OEM wheels than getting a extra set or replacement set of OEM wheels. Or people who don't know much about fitment.

He went a bit religous on a bunch of folks when he was brought up on facebook...
