Factory Timing Belt with no ink stamp?

Just completed the timing belt / water pump service on my '10 TL, but noticed the belt removed did not have any ink stamp or brand on it. I heard the OE belt was Gates / Unitta, but wondering if they came without markings, if it's possible the marking wore off after 8 years, or if it was changed by the previous owner?

What have you seen?

Gates for the OEM timing belt? No, I'm like 99% sure our engines came with a Honda branded OEM belt.

I did mine this year and it didn't have any markings, probably worn off. 100k on it.

Honda branded does not mean they are the manufacturer. Especially true when they are not in the timing belt making business. I was more interested to know if the Honda branded belt was labeled as such, or not labeled, or if it was likely for the label to wear off after some time. Looking for people with this first-hand disassembly experience.

Pretty much all T belts have markings. The markings are worn off from chafing on the water pump, idler, and tensioner pulleys by the time a T belt needs replacing.

This makes sense, thank you. Forgot the back of the belt rubs along those other pulleys.
