Reg Valve Cover Gasket Replacement
Hi All,
I have close to 160K on my 2005 TSX and looking for shops which will do valve cover replacement. Is it just the gasket that i need to replace or the Valve Cover as well ??
I am also planning to replace the water pump. Is it better to replace any pullies as well ?
Thanks

Is this the part that we need ? (Numbered 17). Do i need part 20 as well (valve cover plate ??). My existing plates is not damaged. Just wanted to know whether it needs to be replaced .
Do we need any thing else.
Thanks

Part 21 covers the ignition coil-over-plug units and should not need to be replaced. If you plan to DIY, suggest purchasing a shop manual (automanualsource.com or same name on ebay). Cost is $21.99 and it has factory procedures for replacing the valve cover gasket. There are some areas of gasket that require sealant to seal the timing chain cover/valve cover seam.
good luck

Hi,
I am taking my car to a mechanic and the prices he quoted seems to be reasonable.
Water pump Replacement - 180
Valve Cover Gasket - 120
Transmission Fluid Flush - 80
Rear Brake pad change - 50
I bought all the parts.
Will post back once i get my car back.
thanks
