Odometer is not working? Here's a solution.

Hi, well not a fix to the cluster itself but it's just an alternative solution. As you know, I swapped the LED for my cluster and soon my odometer was not working anymore. There is no way I could know the distance, so I search and search and finally I found this little device called Ultra Gauge No more guessing of the actual mile, now I can have the average and instantaneous MPG, mile, CEL, and a lots more other goodies. I just installed it today and did a short trip on the freeway, an average of ~18MPG not bad lol. If you don't want to spend a lots to fix replace the cluster then I think you guys should get this device. Here is few quick pics: [IMG][/IMG]

Did you install via the ODB behind the ashtray? Can it be permanently mounted?

Yes, it plugged into the OBD. What do you mean by permanently mounted? You can mount the device anywhere you like it.

Day time pictures of where you mounted it.

This would be helpful i guess for people with aftermarket wheels so they can see their actual MPH. Lol

Wow this is really cool, and cheap too! Thanks!!

I am curious how you mounted it. I see a bunch of different mounting options, but a daytime pic would be helpful

Does the connector fit deep enough into the ashtray that it can be closed?

Ok, I'll try to get a quick daytime pic for you guys. I have been very busy studying for the exam and other stuff. Anyway, you have to remove the chrome ashtray inorder to access the OBD. Then I just put the device where the ashtray used to be. No, once the OBD connector is plugged you can't close the ashtray lid lol.
