Vehicles were covered for 100K miles of 10 yrs or something like that, of course, whatever comes first. Common problem for RLs. I suffered with this a bit where the dealer was unable to reset it correctly and was recommending me to buy expensive parts. It has been fine since my Honda mechanic reset it correctly.

If the light is coming back every week, that is a sign that reset was not done correctly. The system checks every so many (3-7) driving cycles and then reports an error.

I also took it up with Acura Consumer Affairs and hey helped me once on parts (SRS harness) but declined to help any more.
