VSA Light Coming On and Fixed

Hey all,

First time posting since my old Honda-Tech days. Anyway a few nights ago I smacked a curb pretty hard in my 08 RDX. Since it was snowing I didn't realize the alignment until the next morning. The Acura emblem on the steering was sitting at about 10 o'clock while driving. I also noticed that after 30mph the VSA light would come on

I took it into our local Les Schwab and had it aligned. After they aligned it, the VSA light stopped coming on after that 30mph mark. The VSA system must use the individual wheel speed sensor from the ABS system and with the toe being even .75 degree out, it most likely changed the wheel speed enough that it differed from the other sensor.

I just want to give the heads up on a fix that could save people from going to the dealership.

On our MDX, the tires wore out quickly at the end of their life & got uneven sizes between them & one was pretty slick.
At highway speeds, it started throwing the VSA/SH-AWD lights when you got above a certain speed. It got worse & worse & was throwing all kinds of VSA, SH-AWD, etc codes.
Had new tires put on & codes cleared-everything was OK. There was no actual problem with the vehicle.
So, yeah, VSA/SH-AWD codes will be thrown if any of the wheels are going different speeds by the slightest.

Somehow the vehicle knows the difference between the wheels going different speeds because its going around a corner & wheels going different because of bad tires.

That’s because of the YAW sensor we have in our trucks.
