07' RDX Headlamp

My daughter has an 07' RDX, she has a headlamp that went out (I believe low beam), these are the HID Xenon, I believe. Am I going to be able to match the color the factory light without going to the dealer, or do I need to, or should I replace both of them? I am seeing pricing ranging from $20-120...anyone know the difference in the pricing of these lights?? I did a search on the forum, but didn't find anything that was actually answering this question. Thanks in advance.

Hi Rich,

It's always suggested to replace both of them at the same time. Firstly, you'll never really be able to match the color of the old bulb. Secondly, if one went out, the other may or may not be far away from going out as well.

Cost difference comes down to wattage (35 watt vs 55 watt), light output (5000k, 6000k etc.), and quality quite honestly. I personally pay more to make sure it's going to last a long time and with good output.

There's a couple websites that you can find good deals on for pairs. I don't know how this website likes links otherwise I'd tell you a couple. Just Google D2S bulbs or even acura rdx headlight bulbs. I really like Philips, but Osram is of incredible quality as well. Try and stay around the 5000K to 6000K light output.

Here is a link that discussed HIDs for the RDX. There is also a link to a YouTube showing how to remove the bumper to get the HIDs housing: https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rdx-...-bulbs-958907/

I upgraded to OSRAM and it was a very noticeable improvement over OEM.
