Springs rubbing with tire!! help!

Springs rubbing with tire!! help!

ok.. everytime i go over speed bumb my i hear this grinding sound... i took off my rear tire and and found out that it is probably my springs rubbing against the inner side of the tire...

ok.. i have 205/55 R16... their stock sized on stock rims!! i don't know what to do... help!!

its easy.. get rid of the stock tires with a 55 side wall.. its too tall!!! you are "bottoming out" against your spring!!! buy 45s!!!

are you sure its not your mud flaps hitting the ground...check them out and see if theyve been grinding it up!

It's rubbing without a drop???

That can't be. I don't think it would make a grinding sound if it was the tire. Do you notice any abnormal wear on the inner portion of the tire? Something's loose or broken. Check your hub.

btw: the tires would not rub against the springs them selves. they would rub agaisnt the control arm.

i just double checked... ya itz the inner sides of my tire rubbing the springs... for some reason these tires are extra fat ... like it sticks out more like a off road tire than normal tires of itz size... my front has different tires with same size and itz fine....

its just that brand he got a bet....my nuespeed and kyb set with stock tires is fine..

Casper, thanks for those stock shocks and spring....but i decided to keep my car and took those coil-over off and replace it with nuespeed.
