Rear Control Arm Question
Hey guys,
Not many people are left on this forum but I'm hoping those that are left can help me out a bit.
I noticed I'll be needing new tires soon. I just took a look at them and noticed it looks like something is scraping on the inside wall on (both) my rear tires. This is the rear control arm, right? If so, is it supposed to be this close to the tire? I can't even fit my finger between the arm and tire so I suspect this may scraping my tire when going over rough roads.
What do you guys think?

Did you check the springs to make sure they are not rusted out and broken? That happened on one of mine and it made the rear sag and the tires hit the control arm going over bumps like you said yours does.
Also I would recommend replacing the rear uca and possibly the rear lca's as well depending on how bad the bushings are in them. Being 18 years old that rubber is definitely worn/cracked.

That is the rear upper control arm, and it should not be that close to the wheel. Are you lowered or on stock springs?
