Idle problem in my CL 98

So car runs fine and all ... But after a while whenevrt I park it n turned off and then try to turn it back on the isle stays under 1k rpm .. Near to the point where it almost turns off ... Sometimes it does turns off ... And I have to keep it around 2 or 4k rpms for a min so it can stay on . .. Any idea ?

Should I remove it from the car to clean it ? ... Or just the air intake ?

the IACV is under the TB so you'll have to remove it. Be prepared with an extra TB gasket that mates with the Intake Manifold though as it may rip.

im in the same boat..mine is 1 notch higher than yours though but still sucks...
no idea..i reset the ecu..also changed the map sensor and reset the ecu again which solved my idle from jumping up and down at times like a yo yo...
but the idle is crummy..

hopefully somebody chimes in and knows how to solve it

cheers

Whenever an idle work is done, make sure you unplug the battery (keep radio code handy) and then let the ECU do an idle reset/relearn : similar here: https://acurazine.com/forums/second-...w-idle-858700/
