I got mt AEM CAI..... More work than I anticipated...
hey all.. remember I posted that instead of getting the 2.5-2.75" honda CAI I bought the Type-S 3"... well I did and it seemed that there would be lil modifications made... WRONG!!!
I got it in at 9am and went to town... it didnt take long to do.. maybe an hour and a half (with painting it black & drying) The angles were perfect but the pipe was way too ong... I had to cut the top and bottom bends off.. disgarded the bottom bend but reused the top one... I attched filter to long pipe, the by-pass valve to the other end, the top angle that i cut off to the by-pass valve and fit it to the stock rubber piping...
now the stock rubber piping has a small attachment thats useless, so i had to disconnect that and plug the hole with a PVC plug... ALL IN ALL.... the car freakin roars now... and its so much livelier with a 3" CAI instead of a short ram... IM EXCITED...

So let me get this straight, you had to modify your CAI and paint it and it only took you an hour and a half verus Amir's 11 hours w/o modification or paint HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Sorry couldnt resist

Melo.. I wish i had it done for thurs nite for you to see.. by the way very kool meeting you...
1stgen... ummm yea.. i dont know where he went wrong.... I gotta so though... I reset the computer and this $hit ROARS!!!! easy increase of atleast 5 HP from short ram... I love it!!!!

Atleast now you know more about your car and i dont know about you, but when i do something to my car by my self it makes it like 10 times better.
