Where to go in T.O for a nice tint
Where to go in T.O for a nice tint
Hey guys, I got my black on black 06 TL a year ago and want to tint the windows. Can anyone tell me of a reputable place in T.O where I can get tints for a good price. I don't want cheap tints that will bubble or fade color but I want proper tints at a good price. I googled tints in t.o and got TintKing and Mr. Tint...Has anyone used any of them and which one would you recommend or do you know of any place that does a good job for a good price?
Thanks!
P.S. I'm in Scarborough

DO NOT go to Tint King, especially the one on The Queensway, they are horrible, unprofessional, and think that bubbling (they call it silver something) is acceptable.
Auto links is very good, had my car done at Lazer Tints in Vaughan, very good shop as well but more expensive than others for the same tint.
I had the Pinnacle Formula 1 ceramic tint done and couldn't be happier with the quality of product and workmanship.

They're pretty close to my home. It says they have one location, but I coulda swore I saw another one just off of Birchmount-Eglinton somewhere.

Thanks! I see a few people mentioned Auto Links, I checked out their site and they seem proper. I'll go pay them a visit next week. Is there anything I should know about the better kind of tint. Any recommendations like % or kind of tint I should get? I don't want a dark tint and I want it to look stock on my black TL.

You can either go with their Classic series or Pinnacle (ceramic) series.
I went with 35% to stay legal and have a good amount of visibility at night.
I find somewhere around 20% looks the best, though.

What's the difference between classic and pinnacle?
Classic is dyed, Pinnacle is Ceramic.

Both are top quality as expected from LLumar (parent company).

A lot of my buddys have no problems with visibility at night with 20%.
The only thing is that if you want to go darker than that, get brighter reverse lights.
You also get used to it I heard.

Gonna stop by Autolinks today [Wednesday] during my break to check out a quote.
Otherwise I saw Audio Heaven, from Toronto Accords, is doing a sale for 197 with Solargard or something of that sort. I'm pretty sure they do good work, but I haven't a clue which tint would be better---if it matters.

Driving home, 30 is perfectly fine. Except things appear darker in the rear window than they do the sides. Can't imagine 5% while backing up lol

FX auto all the way ... I have had at least 6 cars tinted there and never had any problem.
Just had my TSX tinted last week, pinnacle tint for $275. It's not the cheapest, but it's a very fair price and when it comes to tint, if you plan to keep your car for over 2 years you don't wanna save the $50 or so and be sorry.
