Are there any A zine members in Ottawa I see a large number of acura's that are nice looking but never any A zine stickers Are all the Azine members in GTA LOL

There's a handful of TSX owners in the Ottawa area, myself included.

 

sweet are there ever any meets or are there just not enought people to have a meet

 

I don't know... we tried a few years ago to get an Ottawa TSX meet going but nothing came to fruition.

 

I would actually just like to see how many acura zine members are in ottawa and then set up a meet maybe next spring

I know another 1G CL in Ottawa that would be interested too. Even if we start with a couple people we might be able to start a following. It might not be like the GTA, but it would be a start. Could start something over the winter too if people are interested...

I think there are a lot more Azine members in Ottawa than some would have guessed.

Tell people about this thread in the first gen section, get them to post here and maybe we can set something up for the spring, Ive never done a meet before so im going to need some help organizing it but I think alot of people would be down for a meet

I dont think the other guys in that directory log on much anymore. I know Dicorp has moved on to a prelude, and Tek hasnt logged any time in a very long time.

Id be down for helping with organizing the first meet. I think we could definitely keep it very casual the first time and just go hang out somewhere at a park with lots of parking, or hit up a restaurant...something very simple with a date, time and location. Something to see what kind of turn out we actually get.

 

Yeah that sounds pretty good, so if you see anyone from ottawa tell them about this thread and get them to post whether they would be down for a meet.

Hey all!!! Just came across this thread. I'm in Ottawa as well. I actually already tried to setup a meet (see Clubs Montreal / Quebec province thread) along with the guys from Montreal but none of the Ottawa guys responded. It's good to know that there is still a few A-ziners in Ottawa. Let's set something up. Btw I drive a 2002 Silver TL-S with blue fogs.

Does anyone know of a good alignment shop? My regular mechanic is having probs with his machine and it is inconsistent and I cant get a consistent alignment. I live in the east end. Thanks!

 

He uses a John Beam. If anyone knows of a shop that uses the Hunter instead that would be wonderful.

 

Isnt more of the aligner not the alignment meachine, I usually just go to the dealer

 

Yeah I dont know if I would want to go to montreal, but ottawa for sure I wont be going anywhere for a week or so Im getting a new tranny

How much is the new tranny costing you and where are you getting the tranny done? I think mine is on the way and Camco told me that it'll be around $7,000 which is b/s.

 

thats BS rebuilt is 3500 but as you know or may not know there is a serious defect in our transmission but in 04 apperently they fixed this defect. so what I did is got an 06 honda oddyssey transmission with 35k on it and put it in cost me 1200 for the used tranny and 1300 to install and this tranny does nott have the defect It should last me longer than the typical 100k the shop that I went is called hinton automotive in stittsville IM me if you want more info !

Hey dave, dont worry this thread is brand new and we are slowly building the group for a meet this spring. We have a small showing of 4 people thus far. Mr. Fluffy and myself have added links in our sigs to help advertise to other possible members.

Add your name to that list. Location as it stands right now is Mooneys Bay (Best for neat location, parking is free until june). Once we have a larger following and the snow melts we will be picking our date and time.
