I live right in the downtown core and I'm riding on eibach springs with tokico shocks, 19" rims with 245/35/19 and have no problems at all driving around.

I just went dt this morning and I was fine. People make it seem like Toronto has really terrible roads, but they're fine. Here's my drop:

The shocks on my 06 TSX were starting to create some handling problems, at 115,000km, although the dealer said there was nothing wrong with them, and "they weren't leaking". Rather than just getting new shocks, I got a quote from an Acura dealer for $2,100 for A-Spec struts, installed, with an alignment, and tax-in, which I thought was crazy. I found three US Acura dealers with web businesses, which regularly ship to Canada. I used Curry Acura, in NY, set-up a PayPal account, and they handled all the paperwork, 6% duty (I believe), and shipping; the parts arrived at my door 5 days later, at a total cost of $745 Cdn (I installed them myself, but still had to get an alignment).

You may not be looking for Acura parts, but you should look south of the boarder, to price things out. Make sure you order new endlinks, too, because I had to cut all of mine off, and from what I read here, on acurazine.com, endlinks from a US "source" are a fraction of the cost I had to pay an Acura dealer here, halfway into the installation. I doubt that an Acura dealer will install non-Acura parts, but they quoted $300 plus tax to install the Curry Acura-supplied A-Spec struts.

As an aside, I added a Progress rear sway bar...sort of while I was there, but I bought that locally. Altogether, the changes have been rewarding, and I saved a thousand bucks (hey, I had to buy some more tools).

I'm lowered about 2 inches on Megans and have no issues with Toronto roads. I'm riding stock Type-S wheels, though should be rolling on my 19s by the end of the week. As mentioned above, I bought my dampers in the states $830.00 - was quoted $2,200.00 by a local shop
