grinding/whooshing sound

grinding/whooshing sound

Hey everyone! has anyone experienced a whooshing like sound while driving on the highway? ou when accelerating?
i have a 2007 TSX.

brought it in to the dealer today....still waiting for an answer from Acura Canada....might be the tranny!!

has the car been shifting weird?? doesn't sound like the tranny. I have a whooshing sound from my AEM intake Seriously sounds like wind hitting something...

Wheel bearing maybe.......could be tires as well make sure all tires wore evenly....

Thanks for the feedback guys!! Im still waiting news from my dealer! Hope its nothing too serious! The car is Stock all OEM no aftermarket intakes or mods........yet! lol

check for air leak around sunroof and all windows. could also be a loose vacumm line. listen to the engine while someone giving her some gas on your driveway for hissing sound etc.

hey again!! i just noticed now when in idle the car makes that rattling/grinding sound like if one of my pulleys on the drivetrain belt is loose....on top of that still no answer from my dealer!! its been 2 weeks now!! guess whos getting a call from me today!!!??

just got back from VT(vermont) cracked passenger size fog!! dammit!!!

could be a loose heat sheild over your cat. When it's cool, reach under and try and wiggle it. Try and diagnose the sound while you drive, it'll help narrow it down:
-Does it happen only when you brake?
-At certain speeds?
-over bumps etc...

hey all! problem solved!! it was the power steering pump!
got it covered on warranty but still had to pay 140$ for the serpentine drivebelt! oh well!!
lets hope the grinding sound goes away!! picking it up today!!
