Good Rust Proof and Undercoat Places In Toronto Area? (for Winter)

Hi,

I'm looking for a good rustproofing and undercoating shop in the Toronto and surrounding area.

I have an 06 TL with about 40100km on it and this will be the 3rd winter.

I got it rust proofed and undercoated from some place after I got my car but I'm looking for a place that really knows where to spray and where not to spray.

the first place sprayed the little rubber flap between my rearview window and the edge of the trunk and the rubber turned a little wobbly.

Any recommendations and cost?

Thanks.

Try Krown. I had it done there. Best place IMO. There are several locations around.

Thanks for the replies.

What is the approximate cost for rust proofing + undercoat?

Thanks.

~$100 at Krown. They drill holes in your pannels and spray inside them, then plug them...very thorough job.

Don't get the undercoating, if it's the rubberized coating all it'll do is trap moisture underneath and in a few years you will have a rotted undercarriage.

Just get the car oil sprayed. Look in your local papers, Krown has been having $10 off coupons in papers lately.

is it a must we get rustproofing in toronto? i just got a new rdx and didnt go for rustproofing in the dealership -- i thought that most cars are "rustproof"? i intend to have the vehicle for 5-8 yrs (8 yrs max)... im a bit concerned about acura's body integrity for corrosion but thought that the 4 yr warranty would have been enough?

The short answer is yes. Especially when new ... making sure the undercarriage is clean and dry first ( Esso car wash does a not bad job in the winter). Then go to Krown. 8 years without rustproofing is too much to expect no - rust. Resale can be difficult - I always look for Krown "holes" in body panels before buying a used vehicle.

I know its a old thread but its okay.
I bought my car used from a Acura dealer a few years back and im not sure when my 04TL got its last rust proof done. I do see the holes that plugged with rubber stops on the car so I know its been before just not sure when. I'm at 148km now, should I be doing another rust proof?

I usually do mine yearly.

I have a guy that does it for a great price but he is in Kitchener.
Family owned business so much cheaper than Krown.

I will be making the drive there in the next couple months

Place is called Houghton Rust Control on Victoria St in Kitchener.

He is willing to do a group buy for us if we all want to drive down

regular price is $75 and our price would be $55.

I had him oil spray my old TL as well as all my previous vehicles.
