Hello guys.
Newbie here and i am intersted in buying 09 TL
I am probably going to the dealership tomarrow.
But before i go, i wanted to get some tips about test driving.
1. Would Salesmen let me take the car on test drive by myself and my wife ?
2. How long should be a normal test drive? Would any of you had the oppertunity to take a test drive for more than 2-3 hours?
Please help me out ..

Hey,

First, which dealership are you going too? Secondly, I doubt any salesmen would let you take the car for a spin by yourself with your wife, usually they travel along in the back, and third, a typical test drive (depending no dealership and area) usually takes about 15-20 minutes maximum, try to go to a dealership close to highway so you can really see the car's potential, also, ask a lot of questions regarding the car while your driving, such as features, specs etc. if you don't already know.

Not sure about acura dealers. I guess it depends on the dealer too. But last time my dad and i went to check out an MB C350, we took it out and "flogged it" for a good half hour. They just handed us the keys. No one followed

 

I test drove a RSX from Acura...it was a used one...they let me and my dad go because the sales men couldnt fit in the back seat... LoL anyways we had it for 35 mins atleast!Good luck man!

 

thanks guys, i will be going to one in brampton. Near queen and torbram. has anyone had any experience with them ?

 

If it's an Acura dealer, they will likely let you go by yourself and for a good while (I took my car out by myself from Acura Fairview for over an hour). If it's one of those private dealership though, they will for sure ride along and ask you to go back after 5-10 minutes.
