Just wondering are you anything like the girl/guy your dating? Same taste in music or anything else or are you opposites?

 

i think i'm similar to my g/f in a lot of ways...pretty much same tastes/choices in everything...only real diff. is that she is more outgoing..she likes to talk a lot, not that i don't like to talk, but i'm not the type of person to really bring up a convo with people at a party...although if they talk to me i'll gladly talk back

 

Anytime I see a couple, they're very much a like. Same height, same hair color, same music, same politics. At most, they vary in car preferences.
Ever watched people at the mall? Couples look like a male-and-female version of the same person.

I wondered before why my parents married. But most of the time, when they argue, they're arguing the same side of something.

I don't want to meet the female version of me. And if I do, she better like the same cars I do.

 

Well, I'm Asian and my GF is white and blond.

But, we're similar. Politically, she's more liberal; I'm middle of the road.

We have similar tastes in music, art, culture, etc.

She isn't as materialistic as I am, which is good because if we get married, I don't have to worry about spending a buttload on a ring.

We're semi opposite, meaning that we have more differences than similarities, but that combo = a great relationship. And I know some of you will bitch at me now because of the great relationship thing.

We have the same sense of humor, have very similar music tastes and think of most people in very similar ways. Our bad habits and idiosyncracies (sp?) are quite similar as well. Hence, we are best friends and have important things in common and can relate to.

We have enough differences to keep things interesting and fresh though.

Opposite in many things, but similar values. She loves music, I don't understand it the way she does, I love the visual arts in a way that is quite foreign to each other. We enjoy our differences independently, which makes the time we spend together more rich and varied for the contrast. In addition to being my lover, she is my best friend, and my soulmate.

We almost self-destructed over politics; her grandfather refused to take Roosevelt dimes because they had FDR's portrait on them, and my parents were left liberal social reformers. Over time, we figured out that we are both social liberals and fiscal conservatives, effectively making us politically not accommodated by any recent and current administration.......

 

Ex-wife has a 91 integra, nice little car, other than that she and I ended up having nothing in common. (hence the big D)

We're a lot alike in personality, but we don't really look alike... I guess we have similar coloring (okay, okay, we have the EXACT same color eyes which is kinda hard to do since we both have a pretty rare shade of hazel), but he is almost a foot taller than me and outweighs me by 100#, and my boobs are a little smaller than his, too.

 

actually we are like almost carbon coppies of each other in taste of music, food, personalities, and other things. we are both italian, well almost the same hair color, same eye color, but i out weigh her by 100 pounds and she's a couple inchs shorter then i am. but we do have enough differences to make the relationship interesting and keep going. we have had no fights what so ever in the time we have been going out. so yea some people think we are twins or brother sister which is kind of wierd, if we where i think i'd throw up. i dunno just have to see where we go.

 

Same height, same general appearance (blond/blue eyed/fairly white) but she's skinnier.
Otherwise, neither of us really dislikes anything the other does, but we do tend to gravitate towards different things.

she's 5'2" about 95-100 pounds, she did dance all her life and just stopped doing it, there is not one ounce of fat on her but she does have a very fit and defined body. me on the other hand i'm 5'7"- 5'8" around about 190 pounds and i am not skinny, i'm a pretty built guy i have pretty broad shoulders. i play rugby and i also wrestled for a year. and yes i do admit i do have some fat but most of me is muscle, i work out everyday. and yes she's feather light.

 

my wife had a tl quite a few years ago.

i taught her everything she knows about cars.

she used to not have much of a preference but i have always had foreign and she liked my cars so i got her into lexus and acura, she bought an acura before i did(97 tl)




but we are meant for each other and no one else would be a better match.

for example, a song can be playing on the radio in the car and we would start whistling singing at the exact same time just a couple of words somewhere in the middle or the end of the song.

just stuff like that, we are very in tune with each other

At least her and your height aren't too far off. One of my best friends is 6'3" and was that same height in junior high. He dated a girl who was 5'1". It sure didn't make for good dancing. I think he has a thing for short girls. His current gf is tiny too, but not quite as small. But even though some people look totally mismatched on the outside, usually that's not why they're dating, eh?

My wife was nothing like me when we first met. I was pretty much frugal with the cash, while she was more carefree with hers. The problem is I'm getting more carefree like her and she's taking on my cheap bastard personality. That shit ain't kewl at all......

 

hahahah, i know a kid like that. he's only like 15 and he's like 6'5", easily or more. i call him the jolly green giant. but if he dances with a girl they come up to his waist. i can't help but laugh. and true people can look mismatch on the outside but usually they are not dating on looks.

We are very similar in everything...how we feel about God, raising kids, how a house should be run, what a wife's role is, how often to make love...and if there is anything that we don't agree on, we discuss it .... and I usually see his way!! LOL.... Seriously, we discuss everything and find some compromise on the issue.
