Mine was with this arrogant guy who got drunk by the time dinner ended and slobbered his way down my esophagus with his ethanol-marinated tongue!
I was asked out by a 36 year old woman, when i was 25. While eating dinner, she told me that she had a 16 year old daughter who just had a baby. I was out of there so fast that I damn near ran over a waiter.

And this didn't take place during Halloween, right?
This guy from my work when I was 17 asked me to coffee. I had hot chocolate. It was my first date ever and I felt so awkward and there was this weird silence the whole time. Oh yeah, it was winter too.
I guess the worst first date I had was with someone who I just didn't have chemistry with. We got along when we first met, maybe for 5 minutes, at a bar. We had a great conversation on the phone, and a week after we met we got together for dinner and it was HORRIBLE. She was just terribly unresponsive to anything I said or did, I have been told by ex's that I "date well"(what ever that means) it just seems that we had a chemistry problem. It was the most awkward 2 hours I've ever spent with anyone, we haven't spoke or seen each other since. We arrived in seperate cars, and after I took care of the bill we didn't even say good bye to each other we just walked to our cars and left- I think we both wanted to forget that it ever happened!
Other then that and my stint with internet dating, I've had nothing but great experiences on dates. Sure nothing has yet to turn into a real relationship, but I've met some great girls and have had some good times.

I borrowed my brothers Jeep cherokee back in HS to take my date out. There was about 9inches of snow on the ground but i wanted to go anyways.
So i picked her up and were on our way to a nice dinner all dressed up. For some odd reason i thought it would be cool to go off roading into the snow. I pulled into this parking lot covered in snow to realize that i drove into a ditch and missed the parking lot completely.
We were stuck and i couldnt get the car out. I even jumped in the snow and tried to make room. 2 hours later i called a tow truck to pull us out.
Shocking enough, i ended up dating her for 7 months.

Homecoming...senior year. Last minute invite to a sophmore who was so-so interested in me.
About 10 minutes into the date, she started to have BO...YUK! I think I danced with her like 5 minutes the whole night.
Went to a party after the dance...she started flirting with another guy...so I left. Came back to the party at 2 am...she was still there, her new 'date' had left and I ended up leaving with another girl while she waited for a ride home...

I met this chick at my best friend's wedding... she caught the bouquet, I caught the garter... so, since we were both single... we exchanged numbers and decided to go out... My biggest mistake was picking a really nice (romantic) Italian restaurant... because you should never take someone to a too nice of a restaurant on the first date... anyway, the minute they brought the bread... she pulled out her cell. phone... I'm thinking... "...cool, she's going to turn it off, or switch it to vibrate since it's an 'high end-classy' place..." By the way, I know the owner of the place, he works out at my gym and knew we were coming... so he had reserved us the best table in the house... anyway, not only did she NOT turn the cell. phone off, she placed it next to the bread basket... I'm thinking... "..okay, whatever..." There weren't really any, chemistry from the get-go, just small-meaningless talk. Well, her cell. phone rings... and it's loud!! People are looking over... and she totally carried on a conversation!! I can tell it's a guy... and she said something like... "...okay, okay... well, I'm just having dinner right now... I'll call you when I'm done..." I was pissed... needless to say... we didn't really talk at all after that... cause it was clear that she was already making other plans... and this is all before our appetizer got there.

Next time that happens...while she is on the phone, get up, pay the waiter, and bounce.
I wouldn't be able to put up with that for 2 minutes.

It doesn't seem like she had respect for you to begin with. Just pay and leave.
Oh i went on a date with a girl i met at an acura meet.
At dinner she would keep putting her food onto my plate and say "taste this". She did it like 5 times with almost everything on her plate. Soooo annoying when im trying to eat my meal.

Btw, he sounds like a fun guy lol.
You sound VERY mature and well-to-do. He sounds like he was into boozing. No wonder it wasn't going to work out =P What made you want to go out to dinner with him in the first place?
