i think we had a discussion about this earlier. what i got from it was that chicks feel safer with a guy that is maybe sub par on looks but great with personality. he's not as hot a comodity and would be less likely to ditch her. or she could be one of those girls that wants to change a guy into what she thinks he could be if he's an ass hole or somethin.

i dunno, chicks are weird.

damn, nothin pisses me off more than chicks that use their looks to manipulate guys. you cant trust a really hot chick. on a level of 1-10, i like to keep it in the 7-8 range. Lookin good, but not that good where guys keep hittin on her, gets snobby, etc etc.

 

A Few Scenarios:


1. Sometimes these hot chicks manipulate the man they are w/so that they can get almost anything they want....the lower that man's self-esteem/confidence, the more things she can get fromn them.

2. Not all girls are like that, however...there are some that do not like guys that are "prettier" than them. I.e. Guys that spend time making sure they look great i.e. more than GQ....some females feel threatened by this and would prefer their man never 2 outshine them

2b. Some girls love attention, and when they are w/someone thats ugly, it makes them look even more beautiful, and garners a lot of extra attention, from all those around them

3. money

4. power/influence i.e. connections

5. some girls dont like guys that are too attractive b/c then they feel worried b/c they know other girls are checking them out....the girls feel that these type of guys are probably trifling and do not want to waste their time w/them

6. GAME...Face it, if your game is tight, you can pick up almost any girl you want as long as you know the right things to do/say at the rite times....A tight GAME usually takes away the emphasis/role a guys's look may normally have in society.....i.e. may be butt ugly, but w/a tite GAME, will never seem like it to the girl

7. Personality....some ladies love the bad boy persona, some love the GQ persona etc...rmbr, not all bad boys are good looking, but yet ladies continue to love them

there are so many other reasons, but those are the generalizations...btw they are not listed in any specific order

 

They get better lookin girls WAY less than attractive guys. They don't ALWAYS get shit.

You know, it's the girls that use their looks to manipulate guys that ives the rest of us a bad name. I HATE that shit. I once had a guy ask me, one of the first things he ever said to me: "would you rather have a really nice engagement ring, or a nice house to live in" in other words, something superficial and in the ling run, useless, or something practical. I said I'd rather take the money and mod my car then I asked why he was asking. He said he wanted to see if I was a golddigger right off the bat. Asshat.
I don't know why you tend to see the "slamming" girls with the guys who aren't so hot...you know, fat, bald, dumpy, weird looking, whatever. Look at tv, any commercial or the show "king of queens". This fat slob married to a petite pretty woman. You will NEVER see portrayed a hot guy married to an overweight female. It's a suck-ass double standard.
I know that personally, yes, looks play a part but it is not the most important thing, nor is it what I look for first, there's got to be some sort of personality. As established earlier, I couldn't care less about how much money they have, I make my own cash.
But what irks me the most, in this vein of conversation, is when a guy will be so picky, saying he'll NEVER date a girl who isn't absolutely gorgeous, when he is certainly no catch himself. Of course, that goes vice versa, but I've never really heard a girl say something like that.

I don't know I think think I'm nasty but Amy says i'm slamming. but she's like a Short J. Lo I think(like 5 ft 2). (and yeah she's got the J.Lo butt)(which is slamming). part of it is because in about 5-6 years I get 1/4 of a million dollar crib. (and around here that's pretty big timing)(really big timing if your only out of college for short time like 3-4 years).Plus my name pretty stout in the community. (because My parents have established it plus with me being on the fire dept). (We have a road about 5-6 miles long named after us in the county.)

and whoever said that girls, for the most part go for personality is partially true. There has to be some level of attraction, it's just that girls aren't as quick to dismiss a guy because of his looks. Now there are girls out there who are...they want a hot guy, but the majority of us would take a 1/2 decent guy w/ a nice disposition over a Abercrombie and Fitch model who is an asshole.

 

Katie know's whats up....in my ripe old age of 22 I have learned (mostly from my co-workers) that beauty is two things....in the eye of the beholder and fleeting. If you have base attraction to someones looks and a very stong attraction to their personality the relationship will work out better than a very stong attraction to looks and just a ok personality. Remember, although not all of us are looking long term right now, looks don't last but a true personality does.
