Tell me why when you go out on two dates with a guy you are considered to be in a relationship. Why at this point is it thought that you can't be dating others? I don't get it.

It's all kind of relative. It's one of those things you have to discuss with each other. I never imply that, just because I have had a couple dates, that the woman and I are instantly an exclusive couple. After 2 dates you may or may not know enough to take that step of establishing a status/title. I have also had dates where she and I immediately agreed that we should be in a relationship. Just communicate these things early on. Get a good foundation established and see where it goes. Who cares about titles for your dating/relationships anyway. They don't really matter until things get more serious. Oh, and have fun.

Before you guys make any smartass comments, I'm not pulling out ol' . I'm just answering her question. The King has retired, as we all know. We don't want to be evil just yet. We have to sucker her in first.

 

Because that's how some people think based on the experiences they've had in their life. If every girl they've dated before you considered it a relationship after 2 dates, they'd probably assume the same behavior from you. It's not very hard to imagine that, try thinking for yourself for a few minutes.

 

Some people are wacked like that... One of two dates, and I'd consider it dating... Unless one of the people involved states that they want it to be an exclusive thing... I'd consider it a relationship, but not exclusive... I usually only date one woman at a time, but sometimes there is some overlap...

It's not as easy as it was when we were in HS... when you gave a girl your class ring or variety jacket, you knew you were "going steady"...

I'm really know sure what the correct number of dates someone has to go on before you decided that it's an exclusive relationship, but it's definitely more then one or two dates, and like KB says, it's something that has to me mutually agreed apon...

Weird, most of the guys I know have girls doing this thing to them. I've never heard of guys doing this. Also you have no idea what you just stepped into...hopefully we'll see you on the other side of the gauntlet. don't forget your helmet

 

You are only in a steady relationship when both parties agree to be exclusive. If he's implying to other people that you are his gf even when you guys haven't talked yet, you should clarify the matter with him or else you'll be trapped in a relationship you don't really want.

Well since everyone seems to make dating a GAME thats whats up with it. If you really think about it, thats all it really is...is a game. You win when you find that special someone.

As far as the dating thing. I am never in a relationship unless its specified and agreed upon. I have been on a few dates with girls and it has even gone past going on dates. Its funny when i hear some girls talk to their friends about it and they said we were "dating". I guess thats true but I never saw it that way. Its all a words game. Are you "dating", "seeing" or just "talking". Its all retarded and when im "dating" someone im in a relationship with them. I guess everything else would just be "testing the waters"? idk
