okay here's the deal, I broke up with my g/f. This lady she's 35, moved in down the road(about 3-4 miles at the most) from me. she's about a 7 i'd give her. I know she likes me cause she's a school teacher and has nothing to do with my job(I'm in agronomy sales) and she'll stop in to say "hi" and bring me like baked goods to eat. plus if i'm out mowing the yard she'll bring down tea or lemonade. she got divorced about 2 years ago. has 2 girls one like 15 and the other 10 i think.
now do i go after her or is the age gap to wide(10 years)

the thing is i've heard once chicks hit their mid 30s their sexual beast.
however i don't wanna date a chick to old for me.

 

Bringing unsolicited baked goods and lemonade is pouring it on a bit thick. Has she asked you out/over/to bed? Or maybe she's just being neighborly. I'd go slow and friendly, until you can figure out what her agenda (if any) is. Be forewarned, if you're thinking "She's older, but kinda hot, might be a tigress in bed," and she's thinking "he's nice, and nearby, I could use a friend," your (plural) expectations might clash.

But to answer your question, I'm in my 40s, I'd date a woman in her 50s if she was attractive, didn't play the age card, and we enjoyed each other's company. As you get older these "age gaps" become less threatening.

As to the age question, it really depends on the individuals. I personally know a couple where he is 35 and she's in her middle 50's. They've been married about 10 years and are very happy.

From my own personal experience, I was 24 and she was 41 with no kids. I had no idea she was interested in me. We knew each other because we played volleyball on the same team (the teams were formed by lottery.) She invited me to her 41st birthday party where she got very friendly with me. Nothing else happened that night, but we went out on a date two weeks later and we dated for the next 3 years.

Just keep in mind that your 35 year old very well may have you in mind to be a boy toy. There is nothing wrong with that as long as you are OK with it. I would suggest not getting too head over heals for her until at least the 1 year mark.

Until then just enjoy the ride, because she will teach you things that you currently have no suspicion about. (Not to be patronizing, I've just been there before.)

More unsolicited advice.... Sometimes (who'm I kidding, often) having a woman friend close by who likes you is way better than having a woman friend who likes you , thinks you're cute, and tries a (doomed) relationship/fling with you. Since you're neighbors, keeping things simple and uncomplicated would be my best advised course of action. She could be a 10 with an Aston Martin she's willing to loan you, and I'd still recommend that. Been there, done that, made the mistakes, and live with the regrets.

Also kids from divorce (girls, particularly, IMHO) really benefit from having a stable adult male figure around who's not just "one of mommy's bfs." Sex and hookups can be had anywhere, but opportunities to be a friend and a solid figure in the friend's kids' life do not come around very often. Know whut'll mean, Vern?

Well I think its generally the norm for girls to marry older men, because they are more experienced and can be the guiding hand in a relationship, at least that's what I had always believed, my parents have a 10 year age difference.

 

I'm going to go out on a limb and say she probably likes the fact that you're 25 and have already settled, you own home, car, etc. I bet you're a great improvement over her ex-husband, seeing that you're young and responsible probably makes you more attractive in her eyes. I would suspect older women that are around her age to pay less attention to looks and more so on other features, such as the ability to be a suitable father or what not.

Of course I'm speculating when I say this.

i do both. Tues-Friday I do the Agronomy sales. then Saturday-Monday provided either the Ag company I work for has grain for me to go to New Orleans or Chicago or dad(we have 600 acres we farm) has grain he wants me to run i run it.
i'm a part time truck driver.
I own my own rig however sometimes i run dad's rig. I basically run grain when I feel like it or need more money. there's been times i've turned down loads to spend time with my daughter. my work understands that. I don't mind running some weekends but every weekend gets old. I like driving truck the way i do cause it allows me to basically have a truck for the farm but it's working for other people so they are (S-L-O-W-L-Y) paying for it . I started running grain after i got laid off from a metal fabrication shop.

I'm gonna go over there tonight. she called me about 11 o clock or midnight last night she was drunk acting stupid and goofy. we talked for like 1/2 hour or hour.
