What should I get her?

I have been going out with this girl for a couple of weeks, and we go back to school in a couple days. I want to get her something just to kind of kick off the semster in a good way. I already got her flowers and a bracelet before, so what do you think? I am going to get a card, I know that...but what else?

Thanks ahead.

A nice notebook (mead 5 star or something) with pictures of the both of you taped in the inside cover.

Its thoughtful and cheap!

Make her a mixed cd of songs that will remind her of the last few weeks, and throw in some that express how you feel. It simple, sweet, and shows thought and effort.

My advice is don't get her anything. You've been going out for a few weeks and you're already buying her gifts? Bad move. If you insist on doing something nice, cook her a nice dinner.

Why not just stamp a big Nike sign on your forehead? That way she'll know that you're 100% whipped!

Nah, one gift was a birthday gift, and the other was just some flowers...nothing big at all. I like the CD idea..I think I might do that. She made me something the other night to give me...I think it might be like some pictures or something, so I kinda have to get her something too. Thanks for the helpful comments guys *cough*repo*cough*cough*

find an antique shop that carries old jewelry and find some unique piece that she can't buy anywhere else. You're in South Jersey, if you're close to Philly, there's a tiny shop off Rittenhouse Square that carries lots of incredible old stuff in every price bracket imaginable from $10 to $250, and the stuff isn't junk. Called the General Store; bailed me out for b'day for the last 18 years.....

Get a digital shot of the two of you and get it in a decent frame.

The CD mix is great, personalize it with your own label, if you can......make it personal as much as you can.

This girl sounds like she's into you; if it's mutual, these kinds of gifts are incredible relationship cementers................... my wife still has some sentimental stuff I sent her 20 years ago......

Show her how you really feel:

A vacuum cleaner.
Cooking pans.
Atkins diet guide book.

(Can you tell I don't have a girlfriend?)

He's not going to have a good kick off if he's going to give her those...

I'm just messing with ya! I'm glad you can brush it off! Anyway in all seriousness you should take her out somewhere. You know her best so you'll know what places to consider. Something like going to the museum, or to an amusement park or something. That way you'll create memories. The cd is nice and all but I think that taking her out somewhere will give you the opportunity to reminisce later during the semester when things get tough.

you already bought her a bracelet after a few weeks? so when is the wedding? hopefully she doesnt expect stuff now all the time.

i would stick to something less $ but with meaning so that she has something to remember you for.

The bracelet was a b-day present (belated) and she wears it all the time...everyone loves it and it was cheap too

Repo, I'm just bustin' your balls too, lol.

I ended up getting a card and this cool little book with romance quotes from movies. It is a cool little gift IMHO. I will end up taking her out, but not for a few weeks and I'll do the CD thing whenever...just kinda drop these little things on her here and there just so she knows I care.

Thanks for the help guys Acurazine >*
