It's one of those weird weeks for me with women...

For no understandable reason, girls are hitting on me left and right.

It started last week, when I went to the supermarket. I was standing in line when this cutie behind me asked if I could get her one of those divider things for her. I did, and then she started to ask about the stuff that I was buying and we talked all the way out to the parking lot. She worked at the hospital as well, so we exchanged work numbers to go out for lunch sometime.

Then, this Monday, I was coming into work when this cute brunette was waiting for the elevator. She asked if she was going to the right floor and stuff, and said how she's nervous about her job interview. I told her to relax, that most of the peeps at microbiology are pretty cool and that she's gonna do fine. She was applying for a research assistant like me, so I told her where I work and that it's not that hard. Like thirty minutes later, she comes by my lab and thanked me for easing her mind for the interview and hoped to see me around if she gets the job.

Now, today, I'm running around the med school, and I run into this older hottie that I've seen around the place. We both get in the elevator, and she asks what my name is. She says I remind her of someone and tells me that she's a secretary for immunology dept. We talk and she liked my shirt and asked if I go out to the local bar down the street. I told her I'm going there this Thrusday to watch the NCAA tourney, and, as she walks out, she brushes my arm and says "I'll see you there...".

In all three cases, I didn't make any move... didn't do anything to really try and get their numbers or anything...

And this happens to me from time to time, mostly when I'm in a relationship, but this time, there's nothing that I can point to in explaining the events.

I've been scratching my head to find out if I'm doing anything different, but I can't nail it down.

Seriously, it's at least once, if not twice, a year... there is this stretch of like two weeks where I could say hello to a girl and in thirty minutes of talking, I get a phone number...

Rarely is it about some 'game' that you play with a girl. It's mostly just listening and making sure the conversation focuses on her and not you... do that for like 30 minutes, and it's usually pretty good for at least a number.

Which brings me back to the case... usually, I have to initially start the conversation with something like "Man, is this place crowded in here tonight or what?" or "Hey, check out the guy with the hair plugs... ". Then it's just a matter of keeping the conversation interesting. But with these instances, I didn't have to do anything to initiate the conversation... it just happened.

More I think, the more it freaks me out... is it full moon(I don't think so)? high tide?
