Weekend Chicago Pictures

What a great weekend with Jen

I got us a hotel downtown and we stayed there all weekend. Did the tourist stuff like her shopping and hit up the eats.

Friday -
Italian dinner at http://www.trattoriaten.com/
Dessert http://www.grandluxcafe.com/

Saturday-
I slept till 12 while she got up at 9am and went shopping and brought back breakfast

Then we had Mexican food at http://www.lalos.com/
Dinner we wanted Oven Grinders pizza but the wait was too long so we just did a Thai place. Dont even know the name, wasnt that good.

At night we went to Navy Pier where i had gotten tickets for a fireworks cruise on the lake. http://www.shorelinesightseeing.com/

Then after we walked back to the hotel and packed up and went to my house. She then left early this morning to go back home early for Fathers Day.

Oh I got her Seven dogo jeans, a skirt, two shirts and a dress.
She got me an Ipod Nano black

Breakfast in bed at noon at a downtown hotel ... that's almost as good as my weekend.

Love the picture of the tiny boats. Where was that shot taken from?

I went to Chicago (St. Charles actually) for 2 weeks of training last summer and I didn't get to do all the touristy things (Did Rush Street, and Navy Pier).

Chicago is huge and unmanageable. It should have lower population density and a crappy core downtown, like my homeland, the Detroit area.

I went to Indianapolis on Saturday and didn't even realize that HIN was there at the convention center. Nothing else happening in Indy yesterday, just incredibly hot in the region, like Jesal said.

I'll probably be up in the Chi-Town area some weekend fairly soon.
