Just wanted some opinions on a tough question - how do you know that you've found your future spouse? I guess what I'm trying to ask is how do you know she's the one? I know ya'll will have some good answers

^^ nice first post. I personally haven't found "the one" yet in terms of actually being married, but I think that when you've been with the person a while you know if you want to spend the rest of your life with them. My married friends have told me that its one of those inexplicable feelings. Sounds like you have someone in mind, good luck!

I knew Dark was the one for me b/c I know that there was a time in my life when I didn't know him, but I don't remember it....it feels like he has always been there for me...we have been through some serious things in the years we have known each other...and both of us have been there for each other, no matter what the consequences of that was. The thing is, Dark and I didn't really know how strong our relationship was and how lasting it is until we made a vow to be celibate.....Sex and hormones will cloud your judgement of everything...I am not telling you to do what we have done, but it has tested the strength and durablity of our relationship b/c when we are old and gray, the sex may not be there, then what will you have?? i'm 26, celebrating my 1 year tomorrow, and I can't believe it. I've talked to alot of guys that are in their 40s and still married, and they tell me that they weren't even sure when they were walking down the aisle....but they were committed and thats what made it work.

 

When you want to be with THAT person, not just for sex, but just BE with them. When her desires and your are so close that they seem the same. When the thought is forever to be with this person, then it's time to become serious.
Does that mean it will last forever, well, not necessarily. I was 26 yrs with a "lady" that I ended up finding out was a slut. I've been with my present wife for 8 yrs now and it's almost as though the ex didn't exist. That sir, is the difference!
