i don't know a whole lot about the patch, but anything that claims to be absorbed into the skin seems a bit shady. i mean, honestly, do you really think ALL of the necessary hormone is going to soak into your skin when you factor in sweat, showers, this, that... i certainly don't trust it.
if you want a low-maintenance BC option, i'd say try depo or the vaginal ring. much safer, IMO.

but in response to the main question, no i have not noticed any difference in thickness or anything like that, maybe i don't pay attention to it either.
