uh oh, my girl will be getting the results back soon. I dont think it was necessary, but she says her period has been light for the past 2 months, and she has had non stop cramps.

I use rubber with spermicide at all times, and even to play it safe pull out. I hope its okay. i think her body has been acting weird though for the last 2 months since she switched her ADD medicine.

Curious here...why not get on the pill or some other more reliable form of birth control? Unless you're ready to have kids, why leave it up to something more risky, especially in high school.

I agree with you Ironchef. If youre not man enough to handle the consequences of doing an action that causes babies to be formed, than dont.
If shes having sex in high school she should be on birth control. period.

 

Actually Silvia...I was really wondering why one wouldn't get on the pill. I've heard the "weight gain" reason, but weight gain in place of having a child when you aren't ready or don't want one seems like a small trade-off.

Are there other reasons? Or os it just laziness/heat-of-the-moment thing?

 

Sometimes the weight gain is in all the right areas though...

There are other types of BC these days too...my girl uses a ringy-thing...works great...no extra weight...

 

well if the girl is in highschool she may not want to tell her parents.
you have to have a prescription to get birth control, or go to a planned parent clinic which costs a little more.

and i didnt gain weight from it.
in fact. i went to the patch for a while (which doesnt stay on at all and is total crap) so right now im off all b.c for the time being.

and now my hormones are all screwed up and i gained weight from it.

so 10 bucks compared to 30 a month is a good deal for me

well i tried the pill and it messed me up...not with weight gain, but like internally. there are so many different pills w/ different side effects. On ortho tri-cyclin...my one friend's boobs got bigger, but it gave my other friend UT infections...it just depends.

but the pill...or some type of BC is a must for any girl!!!
