Online Dating
Good or Bad? I'm thinking about setting up an account on this online dating thing. Anyone ever tried it? One of my friends meet his gf over on the Net a few years back and their still currently together.......I've been hearing a lot of this technique doesn't really quite work to be able to meet someone

I met my g/f online when I moved to a new city and didn't know a soul. We've been together about 2 1/2 years now, we'll probably get married some time next year. Online dating is great for busy people who aren't able to go out often, or don't care too. I loved the fact that you can eliminate 90% of the girls out there that don't meet your requirements.

I'm just saying in general a girl's experience on myspace is worlds different than a guy's.
And even if you do message girls, it's still a more accurate method of finding someone you at least have similar interests with than some bar. Guess that might be lazy but whatever. I have lots of time at work to send random/funny shit to girls. More time than i have once i leave here...

STAY CLEAR OF MATCH.COM, they have the WORST customer service I have ever seen. I did the one month deal in April and am still getting billed even though I have a cancelation number and the account has been DEAD since April. They keep changing what closing the account means and I am one phone call away from filing a claim with the BBB and contacting the attorney general. I read the agreement and got screwed on the second month, my fault, the third month someones head is going to roll! It doesn't seem like a lot until I realized that I am being charged $92.48 for one months use of there fucking POS site. I thought 32.16 was steep for one month but I was curious, 62.32 for one month was a lesson learned to trust my better judgement and never do this sort of thing again. I try to be an understanding person(I own a few business's and know what it is like) but this is beyond unacceptable.
Further I met NO one worth a shit from that site, a few cute girls but no one you would want to spend some time with- but I guess that would depend what your looking for and where you live.

i met my fiance online. my friend was at my house checking his email from yahoo personals, and he convinced me to do it, so i did. put up like 3 pics but couldnt really be bothered to contact the girls. i would check it 2-3 times a week to see if anyone sent me a message, sometime i would get them from girls, not my type though. met one girl who was a PSYCHO(well never met her, just calls and textmessages-told me she loved me the 1st day i text messaged her-so i let that go!!) then the day i was going to cancel my subscription(it was up for 2 months or so), i got an email from my now fiance saying "your cute, email me" I did and things couldn't have worked out better. after that ALL my friends started doing it.
you have nothing to lose, create a new email account, have them talk/contact you through it, and if they are weird or psychos, they have nothing but a email account you never check except for thr online dating. if they seem cool, then call them
good luck

Cupid and if your a jew like me jdate.
I spoke with a "floor manager" and got a refund for the third month- he looked at my account and saw that I canceled it in april and then again in june and that my account had been unactive for the same time period, hemust have had pity for me- thank god I didn't want to deal with some BS for 30+ dollars. But out of principal I would have though!.... did I mention that I am a jew?
But after my few encounters with online dating I am going to stay clear, its just not for me.

Man, I dont get...I could only see using an online dating service for booty calls, or as a last resort. Why waste your time with all the deception that goes on with those things ? I say stick to the real world when looking for a good relationship.
