You know those chicks that one day you meet them and everything is going great, you think she is on your wood, the switch is ON. And the next day the switch is OFF, it's like she is a completely different person.

Couple Fridays ago I go meet up with my boy and some of his co-workers at a happy hour. He tells me this girl, lets call her Penelope, is coming. I am not too excited because despite the fact that Penelope is fine as hell, since I met her 3 years ago there has never even been a hint of chemistry between us. And furthermore she ALWAYS had some kind Rico Suave reject boyfriend. Well Penelope shows up and is all over me, compliments, flirting, the whole nine. Turns out she is now single, so we exchange numbers and she is like I really want to see you again tomorrow night.

Fast forward. Tomorrow night comes we hang out (me, Penelope, our mutual friend, and some other folks) and have kind of a sucky night. We couldn't get into one "too-cool-for-school" club (Joia) because we didn't have sport coats, WTF?!?! Then we go to Licor Lounge and they are at capacity. Finally we get to Red Door at like 1:20am and the place closes at 2:00. But me and Penelope have been cool the whole night, I gave her a couple piggy-back and I hugged her and rubbed her shoulders to keep her warm while we waited to get into Red Door. Then when we get inside Red Door the switch moves into the off position. She seems to avoid sitting by me, and is almost ignoring me. Then we go to Mai's to eat and she does the same thing there too.

I am like WTF? My boy who is her friend too see all this and after we walk her to her car he is like "Dude I shoulda told you, Penelope is on and off like that".

It sounds like she doesn't want to be near you when you're inside a club; you're scaring away all the guys. But when you're outside or going from club to club, she's all over you. Two words: ATTENTION WHORE!

I don't see her often enough for that, I have seen her maybe 5 or 6 times since I first met her 3 years ago. If it was meant to be it would have been, who knows things may happen in the future but I am not gonna hound her and try to make things happen.

dude I know what you're saying. my finacee is bi-polar. meaning she's either extemely happy/excited to see me. or feels worthless and wants me to feel worthless by making either yelling or doing something mean. .
shes on medication for it. but i can tell she still has it.
the thing is i've been working with her about it. when i first met her it was hell. but it's gotten better.

teh only reason i say that is because i'm kinda in a situation like that. there's this guy, and we've been seeing each other casually for a couple weeks now. but for some reason, i've been really shy around him lately. it's random. he probably thinks that i'm being a bitch, but i'm sirusly just being shy.

 

No way she's being shy, every single time I have been around her previously she was outgoing and gregarious. But once she established interest in me this hot cold shit starts. Plus she was still laughing and kidding around with the other folks at the table when we were eating.
