I've dated a girl that has been into video games more than me and she was cute and my type too, but that's it.

Never heard of a girl who is pretty, likes video games, knows about cars, plays sports, and is down to earth/laid back. That is just virtually non-existent.

 

try going to anime-conventions and meeting girls there. you probably have more confidence than the other guys there.

You know, it's not impossible to date a woman without spending a dime, or at least any more than you would normally spend by yourself. Women probably are attracted to money, but it's the confidence a man has in his ability to provide that makes him attractive here. If you simply have respect for yourself, unbreakable confidence, and are a fun person to be around, you might get away with never paying for a date. It's not unheard of, just rare. If a woman really wants to go out with you, she'll make it happen, one way or another.
