Not sure if it's already been said but in the city and (I guess) elsewhere, the 40-ish women on the prowl are called "cougars." I think it's a good thing and popularized by the "liberated" females on such sitcoms as "Sex in the City" or "Desperate Housewives." I think the NY Post even had an article about this a while back.

We're talking about women who are financially secure and basically looking for younger guys to bang ... basically, in retaliation to the traditional "older males going after younger females" concept. I don't think it'll really fly because as a species, males just aren't supposed to be attracted to older women (it's a reproductive/evolution/allocation of resources thing). But what the hey. Just don't get invovled with the Fatal Attraction types because I'm convinced all women have it in them to reach such excesses.

 

Its like this, at the bar, you gotta start SOMEWHERE, right? Yeah, she ain't the best outta the bunch, but it'll give you some experience of not only how to be able to do things with a girl outside of a bar, but also how to keep a conversation going, and things to pinpoint (i.e. if she shows interest in you or not, who to look for...).

Dont sweat it too much, but if and when you do have a girl, young or old, either ask a question, starts a conversation, or is making eye contact in a good way, then thats usually a signal for you to go over, and start talkin to her. Where it'll lead you, who knows, but nothing ventured nothing gained...

Same type of thing happened to my buddy (who has been in a loooong drought) over Memorial day weekend. We were down in Charlotte at some club and some 5'1" 100 lb hooters waitress hottie was showing major interest and said, "what are you doing after this?"
him: "I don't really have any plans."
her: "oh you should come back to our place then.
him: [either walked away, or flat out said no].

Needless to say the drilling of him has only eased up slightly, and probably won't ease up much more for a while.

I think in both cases the opportunity blindsided our commrades here and they basically didn't know what to do, and they ended up looking like deer in headlights.

Of course that may have happend to me a time or 2 as well.

I was in the same situation a few years back. I met a 39 year old in a friend's party. She was hot and sexy. I could say it was one of the most unforgetable moments of my life. I thought it was just a one night stand but we met up a few more times like a date and you know what happens after. She was like a sugar mommy i would say. She gave me small gifts most of the time we meet and always pay for dinner, lunch and out of town trips. The relationship ended just like it never happened, never called her or vice versa.
