If you ever needed anything I know of a hook up to get parts cheap if you are interested or you can go to ACURAZINE.COM. Check it out, you will see so many nice cars and waste all your money " (in a soft monotone voice thats not excited to show interest). Then feel off of her response if she is interested in cars or just likes to show off and is a snot, and walk away or if she starts the convo just go along with it. Some people I know have hooked up cars and just do it because it looks cool or their boyfriend did it but when I say nice car or talk about it they either have no idea what they have or had a shop do it and give me a snotty response.

Also point out some things she has done so she knows your into her car and not her. When I was young and single, I had a number of ways to find out things about a girl to whom I was attracted and to approach her. I even used a simple one on the girl whom I eventually married. You have a perfect "tool of introduction" with the TL's which you both own. Use that as the start.

Ask about her mods on the car and if you could get a closer look (only do this in a parking area where she will feel safe). Try to engage her in conversation, but don't be pushy and don't come on as a fake or bullish. Just be normal and pleasant. Smile. Laugh a little. If she responds in kind, you have crossed your first hurtle. If she acts cold or indifferent, she is most likely not going to be a good target for your attentions. Does she live or work around you? How do you come to see her? You could just start with something like, "Nice car. How do you like it? I see you have some modifications. Did you do those yourself?' Things like this might get a conversation going.

What you are trying to do is make her feel safe around you so she will respond to your questions and open the door to conversation. The next step(s) will be predicated upon how she reacts initially. I got picked up by a girl once at a major beach resort while cruising along the main drag. I wound up dating her that entire summer. So anything is possible.

OP, you don't have to be smooth or have game to get this girl to talk to you. you already have a common ground to work with, you both have a TL. a way to get her to feel comfortable around you is to say something like, "wow, nice TL. i haven't seen any around that looks as good as yours." she'll respond with (hopefully) "oh, thank you! i just bought it last month, so far i love it!" you can follow up with, "what do you like best about it?" she'll give you some answer and you'll nod politley and agree no matter what she says. if she says she likes the front end of the car, well OP...you now love the front end of the 4G TL's.

this not only gives her the security she desires, but also tells her a little bit about yourself. they like when you agree with them, not on everything, but most things.

just be cool, calm, and normal. don't be too pushy or excited. act like you do this kind of thing all the time.

when it's all said and done, throw in a line about acurazine and tell her she should check it out sometime.

Yes sir, you're right. Women use conversation as a defense mechanism... to find out things about someone for whatever reason. They are better at this than we men are. So you need to use this to your advantage. The one thing that will turn them off is someone is is disingenuous or a fake, or around whom they feel uncomfortable and even threatened. You never want to do anything like this with a lady you wish to meet and perhaps take out at some point.

I used to use a number of ways to meet girls when I was on the hunt. All of them were just ways to get the object of my attention to talk to me. And when I say "ways" I do NOT mean some ridiculous line or lie. I mean a genuine opportunity I would persue in order to meet the young lady and then let things develop as they may. Most of the time, they worked. And most often, they led to enjoyable and valuable company.

Your suggestions are pretty dead on the money. I would add respect the lady and her ideas but do not be patronizing. Let things flow as they will and see where it goes.

I actually had this very good looking girl start a conversation with me while waiting on our cars. It was going good then some random guy started talking about turbos and most of it was wrong so like the dumbass I am, I ended up talking to him instead.

 

It is kinda crazy discussing this on a car website, but what the hey. Girls and cars have a connection that goes way back, and I see nothing wrong with talking about either. We are attracted to both and for good reason... and thank God we are.
